So Cayden ended up spending the weekend in the hospital after a fun filled week at Scout Camp. As you can see in my earlier blog about scout camp I am an over protective mother. Well now I have just cause!! He had a grand mall seizure in the truck on the way home from scout camp. This was a convulsing, foaming at the mouth, stop breathing, turn blue, eyes rolling in the back of his head seizure. The scout leader (Brother Whitehead from the 19th Ward) pulled off the freeway in Provo by Novell, and called 911. After a couple of minutes Cayden started breathing so they decided it would be faster for him to drive to the hospital than to wait for the ambulance. How scary for Brother Whitehead and Jenner Bird, the other scout in the truck.
They called me once they got to the hospital and could look up our number. They have done lots of tests and so far can't find what may have caused it. It has never happened before. We will spend the coming weeks doing more tests and hopefully figuring out what may have caused it.
For now he can't be alone for a couple of days and has to stay pretty low for the next week or so. We will go to our doctor today and get some more info. Pretty scary stuff!!! Cayden is feeling pretty wiped out, but also sick of us googling over him and checking on him every few minutes. Fun stuff huh?

What a weekend!! I am so glad that he seems like his old self! Let us know if we need to take a shift "adolescent-sitting". We love you guys! See you tonight!
Hey Guys!!
It was fun to see you at the Drs. office today, even though under crappy circumstances!! I hope you figure out what caused the seizure!! Let us know if there is anything we can do, and we'll keep praying it was just a one time thing.
XOXO

How scary! Make me worry about trek this week. Can I help with anything?
So sorry to hear about Cayden, how scary for you too! Hope everything turns out ok, let us know if there is anything we can do.
Wow, that is intense! It's a scary thing like this that makes you fall in love with your kids all over again. Life, and health, truly is a blessing, isn't it?! We're so glad Cayden is okay. He looked great yesterday- and what a handsome guy!
