Thanksgiving Shopping

I went this morning to get my shopping done. It was payday yesterday and we were out of everything. I also needed to get all of the shopping done for the big gobble gobble turkey day. I am cooking dinner at my house this year.

This will be the first time in 4 years that we will all be home for Thanksgiving. Tasha's soccer team is doing a tournament in Dallas the week after Thanksgiving this year instead of over Thanksgiving. I am kind of excited to be home. So there will be 16 of us, give or take a few.

You know one of the worst parts of the dinner is going to the store, fighting the crowds, not finding what you need, having to go to another store etc etc. Especially at Walmart, which I hate to go to for those very reasons, but you gotta admit they have the best prices. Well this morning I braved the elements and headed down to my local Super Walmart, and guess what there were no crowds. I got a spot to park right in front, they had everything on my list (plus a few extras), I didn't have to fight the carts, I got right through the check out line. It was AWESOME. The only down side was it was dark when I went in and still dark when I came out. I guess if you go at 5am on a Saturday morning that's the price you pay. Happy Thanksgiving all!! My shopping is DONE!

5:00am??? Is that the secret? It may be worth it just to beat the crowds!

Hey Sharon thanks so for your comment. I miss your cute family. I can't believe how big your kids are! I remember babysitting them when they were just tiny. They look great. And so do you.

Yeah for you! Braving Walmart, I have found that there are definitely better times and worse times to go. Of course, I grew up with Walmart, so it is kind of my go to store. Have a happy thanksgiving and give everyone our love!

Are you planning on hitting Walmart at 5:00am on black Friday. Because I hear that the store isn't too slow at anytime that day. :o)
